Over the years I've accumulated more than 500 fishing books that span a wide range of angling topics and am sure that among them you can find one or two that you might like to have.

I have grouped similar books under seven different headings. Simply visit the store by clicking 'Enter Site' below and you will come across the page where you can browse my collection by the seven headings, search by author, or take a look at the master list.

If you find any books you would like to buy or have a question about please send me an email at nickkaras@yahoo.com. If you want to buy it directly by contacting me, I will immediately pull it aside and hold it for a week. Whichever method you choose, please make payment by US Postal Money Order, PayPal or personal checks. In the latter case, the book will not be mailed until the check clears. If you use the USPS money order I can ship the books as soon as I receive it. Shipping, delivery confirmation (80 cents) and handling are not included but it will be via the least expensive rate: Media Mail, ranges for 1 pound of books from $2.99 to $4.99 for single book orders and reduced for more than one book. In your e-mail please include your name, address and phone number and the book(s).

About Nick...

He joined the staff of True, then Argosy magazine as outdoors editor. Karas has written 15 books, more than 500 major magazine pieces as well as 3,500 newspaper columns. His book Brook Trout immediately became a classic with trout fishermen throughout the world and has received several awards. In addition, the American Literary Society named it as one of the 10 best books on angling in the English language. Izaak Walton had to make room for him.

“The 458-page second edition so thoroughly covers every aspect of this species,” Karas said, “that no one in their right mind would think of writing another book about book trout.”
